Creating art that connects, places and stories.
Welcome to my studio.
I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a degree in Design and Applied Arts and have built a career that bridges fine art, design and community engagement.
My work reflects a lifelong love of Scotland's landscapes alongside a passion for sharing creativity with others through education, collaboration and public art.
I have spent many years working across theatre and community arts. Whether I am creating an original landscape, designing props for a production or leading a community art project, my aim is always the same - to tell stories, inspire imagination and create work that leaves a lasting impression. I believe art should inspire, connect and enrich people's lives. It should resonate with the creator and purchaser.
Fine Art
My paintings are inspired by Scotland's landscapes - the quiet beauty of its lochs, forests, coastline and mountains, and the ever-changing light that transforms familiar places into something extraordinary.
Working in acrylic and mixed media on board or canvas, I create original paintings that celebrate both the beauty and atmosphere of Scotland.
Every painting is carefully crafted to evoke a sense of place and memory, inviting viewers to experience the landscape in their own way.
Whether you're looking for an original painting, a meaningful gift or a bespoke commission, I'd be delighted to help you find the perfect artwork.
Scenic Art & Prop Design
My professional practice extends beyond the canvas into theatre and live events.
With experience in scenic painting, prop making, set dressing and creative design, I collaborate with production teams to create immersive visual environments that support powerful storytelling.
Each commission combines artistic creativity with practical craftsmanship, ensuring every piece is both visually striking and purpose-built.
Community Arts
Art has the power to build confidence, strengthen communities and create lasting connections.
Throughout my career I have been privileged to work with schools, community organisations, charities and local groups, delivering creative workshops, collaborative art projects and public exhibitions that encourage participation and celebrate local identity.
From large collaborative murals to hands-on creative sessions, I believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of making art.
Community projects have included:
Collaborative public artworks
Creative workshops for all ages
School and youth projects
Arts and wellbeing initiatives
Exhibition and heritage projects
Intergenerational creative programmes
If your organisation is looking for an experienced artist to develop a community project, I would love to discuss your ideas.
